BVCA + TAMU Chess Recap
The Brazos Valley Chess Association had its third tournament of the year, and its second collaboration with the Texas A&M Chess Club on March 29th. With 11 players, it was a small, focused experience that we loved to facilitate!
We worked hard with the Texas A&M Chess Club, and we are thankful that they were able to provide the room and other services to make our job easier. We look forward to working with them again in the future.
National Master Kevin Qin went 3.0/3.0 to win the tournament outright, while Vlad Alexander Gaza also won the club prize. All the games were hard-fought and well contested, where every move was thought out well.
We were so proud of the player’s intense and competitive spirits throughout the event, and thank the Texas A&M Chess Club for working with us to make this happen.
We hope to see everybody again at our next event, on April 11th.
