May 3rd BV Kids Tournament

The BVCA and the BV Kids Chess Club had its first collaborative event on May 3, at the Oakmont Community Center. 

The kids played fiercely, and they all did a wonderful job! 

Oliver Carmona won clear uncontested 1st place with 4.5/5.0 points, and Hans Chao and Leon Verhulst got 2nd and 3rd place, respectively, with 4.0/5.0 points each.

We are so grateful to Mr. and Mrs. Carmona and the BV Kids Chess Club for making this a free event to the public, providing the venue and the trophies for the top 3, and metals for the winners and players!  

We look forward to continuing our partnership with them as the months go on!
